After donating more than 3 dozen eggs to Sta. Clara, nature was on our side as the hot sun shone down on us for the annual Holcim Kids’ Day. Circle of Fun, in QC Memorial Circle, was transformed into a carnival wonderland. The landscape was dotted with images of the adorable and adventurous Howie, the Holcim Kids’ Day mascot.

The Triumph Inspiration Award (TIA) is an international design competition that challenges fashion students to create a lingerie showpiece for the year’s design theme. The TIA is by one of the leading underwear manufacturers, Triumph International. It is now on it’s fourth year and the culminating events were previously held in Beijing, Milan and London. This year the TIA was held in Berlin, Germany on July 6, 2011 during the Mercedes Benz fashion week.
Triumph International was founded in Heubach, Württemberg, Germany in 1886. The company is also celebrating its 125th year in the industry as an underwear manufacturer. All design entries to the TIA were inspired by the slogan “125 years of celebrating women.”
“No, it’s not a showroom.“ Global Academy’s Brand Manager, Anna Bautista‐Ledesma, is often caught saying. And is quick to add that, “But we are proud to show it off.” Global Academy’s new Pasig campus can easily pass for an editorial spread. But don’t let this 550 square meter property, boasting of Modern Asian interior design, fool you. Inside is what counts, as this campus is for the hardcore. Serious culinary students will have as their playground, two kitchen labs, two 23‐seater theater demo rooms, and a library.

Now the long wait is over, we have reclaimed the throne as the ultimate hotspot in the
Metro, with the newest dining and entertainment destinations.
