Heeding to the call of the times, FILA and Athletes in Action (AIA) join forces to bring the biggest advocacy run to help raise funds for the rehabilitation of classrooms in Iligan city, which were badly hit by Typhoon Sendong back in 2011.

Back in 1886, had merchant Michael Braun and corset maker Johann Gottfried Spiesshofer been told that the tiny corset factory they had just set up in southern Germany would one day become the world’s leading supplier of lingerie and shapewear, they surely would have been astounded.
The show was stellar! The models were gorgeous; pretty faces and beautiful bodies. The celebrity endorsers sizzled on the runway. The collection had a great range from “casual couture” pieces by Randy Ortiz for Bench (ROB), Kashieca’s nautical chic, Human’s black and whites to Bench’s comfortable briefs and sexy yet elegant women’s underwear. What a great start to the Philippine Fashion Week. Hottest show in town? I’m guessing it will be. Too early to tell, I’ll let all of you be the judge of that. Star studded both on and off the ramp as only Bench can deliver.
Here are iPhone photos of the event that we tweeted that night. Follow us and Bench on Twitter @LDLmarketingINC and @BenchTM.
The Triumph Inspiration Award (TIA) is an international design competition that challenges fashion students to create a lingerie showpiece for the year’s design theme. The TIA is by one of the leading underwear manufacturers, Triumph International. It is now on it’s fourth year and the culminating events were previously held in Beijing, Milan and London. This year the TIA was held in Berlin, Germany on July 6, 2011 during the Mercedes Benz fashion week.
Triumph International was founded in Heubach, Württemberg, Germany in 1886. The company is also celebrating its 125th year in the industry as an underwear manufacturer. All design entries to the TIA were inspired by the slogan “125 years of celebrating women.”

More and more companies are incorporating social networking sites into their marketing plan. We at Leung De Leon Marketing always say that using the Internet as a platform for advertising would result in minimum spending and maximum output. We are not saying that companies should not include TV, print and radio in their marketing plans, a good combination of quad media (print, TV, radio, Internet) will go a long way in terms of communicating to the target market. The secret for a marketing campaign to go viral right away is social networking. Facebook has more than 500 million active users!
Her name says it all. Pristine De Guzman, National Winner for the Triumph Inspiration Award 2011, was a clear winner of the competition held last April 13 at Members Only. Pristine’s fresh and original take on this year’s theme, 125 Years of Celebrating Women, was a standout from the lot with a modern 3-piece red velvet stunner. Pristine not only envisioned a woman of beauty and power, who is at the center stage as a winner and a leader with this piece, but also made it come to life by emerging to the top spot.
